MONHEGAN

Monhegan was destroyed in a storm at American Yacht Club and was purchased and rebuilt by Martin van Breems using a new (and the last J44 hull built by TPI). Under Martin van Breems, she completed the 1999 Singelhanded race to Bermuda (The Bermuda 1/2) in 3 days and 1 hour. We would like to beat that time! She was also the only US finished in the 2000 Ostar and competed in the Newport Bermuda race in 2002, 04 and 06.
